Christmas came early thanks to St John the Baptist Church, Edlington, the Elm Green Community Centre, Conisbrough and to Holy Trinity & St Oswald church, Finningley who invited me to their Christmas fayres.
The big draw at St Johns was the bottle stall, which was formidably supervised by Father Stephen Edmonds and Deacon David Paul D'Silva.
Holy Trinity & St Oswald was like a step back in time as we were served tea and cakes like a 1920s tea room. I'm really looking forward to seeing the church's restoration.
As you can see, I can't resist a good raffle. This time I walked away with a learn to knit kit from St Oswald and a box of chocolates from Elm Green Community Centre. Elm Green is a fantastic community centre and I called in a few days before their trip to Llandudno.
As always, I couldn't resist some of the home cooking on offer at the fayres.
