The MP visited the DN7 Community Foodbank to meet volunteers and listen to clients who turn to the foodbank for help.

It also marked the opening of Sianne's Butterfly Trail, a butterfly-friendly border and commemorative bench in memory of Sianne White, who passed away in 2015, aged three.

Caroline Flint has welcomed the extension of the Warm Home Discount to 30,000 more customers of small firms, following lobbying my Ms Flint and other MPs.

Energy minister Claire Perry announced this week that from 2020/21, all energy suppliers with over 150,000 customers will have to offer a £140 discount on electricity bills to the most financially vulnerable - after a campaign from Caroline Flint and fellow MPs to change the rules.
