The Don Valley told the Prime Minister: “the British public, want us to come to some sort of compromise and move forward” adding “there is agreement with the Withdrawal Agreement, but there are concerns about the future relationship on trade and security going forward.“

Over 8 million people on direct debits paid energy firms in advance this winter, but because of milder weather, never used the energy in the end.  The average customer is £108 in credit.

Pheasant_Bank_heads_in_books_Ryan__Alfie_and_Ania.jpgCaroline Flint joined staff and pupils at Pheasant Bank Academy this week to see for herself the remarkable progress the Junior School has made, as one of Doncaster’s most improved schools.

Deputy Head, Ryan Schofield showed Ms Flint around the refurbished school and she was joined by the newly elected Pupil Head, Alfie and Deputy Heads Ryan and Ania.

The MP was shown the new library and ended her tour joining the Gardening Project, planting lettuces and cauliflowers.

DoH_COA_event0319.JPGCaroline Flint has congratulated the first local authorities and voluntary organisations to secure Government innovation funding to support children living with alcohol-dependent parents.

At an event organised by Public Health Minister Steve Brine, the Don Valley MP met with local authorities and voluntary organisations from across England who had been awarded the funding.

Caroline, who is herself a daughter of an alcoholic mother, said:  “This funding could not be more important.  One in five children in the UK are affected by a parent’s drinking, so innovative projects like these are absolutely essential in ensuring that all children’s voices are heard and their needs are met.”

Welcome_to_the_Willow_Dome150319.jpgCaroline Flint wore red to join in Red Nose Day activities with pupils at Wadworth Primary this week.

The MP was shown how to make boxes to keep red noses in, after being given a tour of the school by Headteacher Peter McLean.

The MP talked about her trip down the Rossington pit many years ago, as Year 4/5 pupils explained their mining project.   After fielding a series of tough questions from older pupils, such as “When will World War III be?” - the answer was “Never, I hope!” -  the MP was shown the activities the school undertakes as part of its “Forest School”, where children learn about camping, nature and outdoor skills.
