Eden Foster from Auckley gives Caroline a virtual tour of the proposed community and sports centre.
A consultation into the design of the proposed £2.5million Hayfield Centre was welcomed by Caroline Flint this week.
Ms Flint joined residents at Auckley Church Parish Hall to see the plans in more details and have a virtual tour of the planned centre.
Said Caroline: “Well done to the Hayfield Centre Steering Group for putting together this interactive exhibition. This centre will be a big step forward for indoor and outdoor sports, with cricket and football pitches and a four court sports hall.
“I am obviously proud that both Yorkshire Forward and the Government’s Community Builders fund have committed a large part of the money, but other partners, such as Peel Airports are important to the success of this project.”
The plans are due to go for planning approval shortly and building work m ay start as early as later this year.
Said Caroline: “This centre would be great for Auckley, Blaxton, Finningley ands the surrounding villages.”
The Centre will also include workspaces for small businesses.
