Caroline meets 51st Doncaster Brownies

Rossington Brownies - thumbsCaroline Flint enjoyed a “Brownies Question Time” this week as she met 51st Doncaster Brownies in Rossington.  The evening was organised by Katie Wormald, a Brownies Young Leader

Said Katie:  “The Brownies really enjoyed Caroline coming to visit them and talking about what her job entails. They got the opportunity to ask her questions, to which she answered every one. The girls really enjoyed hearing about her daily life and even the tap dancing group she was part of.

“The main reason we invited Caroline to come and speak to the girls because we wanted to show the Brownies what being an MP is like, and all of the different jobs that are out there for them.  As a section of Girlguiding, we aim to provide the girls with opportunities that they might not get anywhere else and to give them a voice. Caroline's visit showed them that women have a voice in society and that the Brownies can become a part of that, if they want.”

Caroline said: “The Q&A was fantastic.  The Brownies want to inspire these girls to believe that they can achieve whatever they want in the future – and I could see some future MPs among them.  It is easy to see why this Brownie group is so successful.”
