Caroline Flint joins Pennine View Talent Show

Don Valley MP, Caroline Flint was the special guest at the Pennine View School talent show this week and was treated Showtime_Ronnie_Caroline_and_Theo.jpgto an Oscar performance by thirteen year old Ronnie Martin.

The MP was blown away during the two hour show when Ronnie Martin sang the theme tune to the Bond Film Spectre, the Sam Smith song, “The Writing on the Wall”.

Local judges awarded Ronnie first prize – and he duly sang an encore to close the show.

Said Caroline: “This show was a treat.  Staff even took to the stage, but the real stars were the pupils.  The dance routines were stunning and we were treated to some wonderful songs.

“Ronnie Martin is a one of the big personalities at Pennine View.  He dressed like James Bond and sang like an angel.  This was a wonderful event in a very good school.  The Head, Jo Barker Carr, her staff and governors should be very proud.”

Pennine View School is a community, co-educational day school for children aged 6-16 years with moderate learning difficulties and associated special educational needs. In 2012, it received a GOOD Ofsted review.
