Caroline Flint and Cllr Sandra Holland were given a tour of the latest efforts to restore the Mill Piece in Conisbrough this week.
Entour Volunteer, Chas Prouten showed Caroline and Sandra round the site, which sits at the foot of Conisbrough Castle on Low Road.

Said Caroline: “The Mill Piece used to be a neglected, litter strewn swamp. Today, it is transformed, with wonderful walks, sculptures, and places for picnics.”
The Mill Piece was being used by local running club, Fitmums, for an Easter egg hunt.
Said Sandra Holland: “The Mill Piece has never looked better. I can’t wait for the Tour de Yorkshire to fly past. That day there will a stage, entertainment and BBQ here at the Mill Piece thanks to the brilliant volunteers who work tirelessly to organise local community events.”
Fitmums is a running club for parents, encouraging people to be active and manage weight through activity. They offer walks and run from 1km to 6km.
