Caroline welcomes new development for Older Citizens in Bawtry

Plans_underway.JPGCaroline Flint was given first sight of a new development, when she joined UK’s leading retirement housebuilder, McCarthy and Stone, to break the ground at a new development in Bawtry.

William Bradford Court will provide 34 apartments for the over-60s; the first of which can be purchased off plan from November 2017.

Said Caroline: “William Bradford Court provides another option for those in or approaching retirement to downsize and benefit from a supportive environment, but with their own independence.

“As we all live longer, we need homes designed for those who no longer want to maintain a family home and garden. To be in a low-maintenance development, supported by an on-site manager, in a secure setting is becoming a popular choice. McCarthy and Stone’s development here in Bawtry is part of a growing recognition that we may live a third of our lives in retirement, well beyond the age of 60 and we need homes adapted to that. I look forward to seeing the finished apartments.”

The development is aimed exclusively at people aged 60 and over, providing luxury retirement living free from external maintenance, and allows homeowners to enjoy an independent lifestyle in a safe and secure environment. William Bradford Court will comprise 34 one and two bedroom apartments, and will benefit from its very own House Manager, who will take care of the smooth-running of the development; while video entry and a 24-hour emergency call system will provide added peace-of-mind for homeowners.

McCarthy_and_Stone.JPGLiz Green, Regional Sales and Marketing Director McCarthy and Stone North East, added: “We are delighted Caroline Flint was able to take the time to visit our Bawtry site, and take a look at the plans for some of the fantastic apartments that will be on offer here.

“McCarthy and Stone is committed to designing flexible homes which allow people to make the most of their retirement years, and to live as independently as possible with the benefit of having a range of amenities right on their doorstep.”

Apartments at William Bradford Court will be available to buy off plan in January 2018, with the first homeowners moving in in the summer.
