Flint pledges to fight to save the Thorne TSB Branch

Caroline Flint has pledged to fight to save the last bank branch in Thorne.
Said Caroline: "We must try to save the TSB branch in Thorne.  This is the last bank in the town and serves a wide area.
"Our small towns are being let down.  In 2017 we lost the HSBC branch; in 2018 we lost the Natwest Branch - now the last bank in Thorne in closing. More banks have closed during the Conservative Government than ever before.
"We need a banking guarantee from Government - so every town has a bank branch on their doorstep, even if it is a premises shared by several banks.
"This is another example of our smaller outlying towns and villages being left behind.  Losing banks is a blow to business and to customers."
Thorne town also serves residents from Moorends and Hatfield.  The town has a lot of local small businesses, a strong community and recently featured in the UCI World Road Race Championships.
