Gold rush at Tornedale Infants

Caroline Flint joined pupils at Tornedale Infant School this week, and read out the achievements of pupils that won a golden brick for their good work or attitude in school.

Alexandra_jamie_climbing_frame.JPGThe MP also toured the school, but couldn’t resist joining Alexandra and Jamie on the climbing frame.

Said Caroline:  “Tornedale Infants had a good Ofsted, and everything I saw today echoed that glowing report.  The children were amazing.  I was regaled with tall stories of wobbly teeth, planets and alien underpants, complete with a drawing to match!

“Tracey Hughes has lovely staff and I met countless happy and attentive children, who clearly love being at school.”

Tornedale Infants has 192 pupils, in six classes plus two nursery classes.  In 2013, it was rated ‘good’ by Ofsted.
