Join the trip to Parliament

Don Valley Labour Party is organising its annual trip to the Houses of Parliament on Tuesday 11 October, 2011.

The trip costs just £30 per head for a return coach trip and guided tour of the Houses of Parliament.

Said Don Valley’s Chair, Cllr Pat Knight:  “Our annual trip to Parliament is very popular with constituents.  We decided years ago to invite anyone living locally to join the coach trip , because we realised that many people had never been to the Palace of Westminster.

“With the tours, visitors get to stand at the despatch box – just like the Prime Minister; and see parts of the Parliamentary estate that you never see on TV.  We only send one coach, but the trip does tend to fill up very quickly.”

Said Caroline Flint:  “I really appreciate meeting constituents in Westminster, but it is not as easy for people from Doncaster to visit the Houses of parliament as it is for residents in the South East.  This trip is a great day.”

Don Valley residents who would like more information or to reserve places on the trip should email or ring (01302) 770830.
