MP hosts Community Labour Student campaign day

Don Valley Labour Party welcomed Community Union and Labour Students for a campaign day this weekend, as Labour members hit the streets of Edlington & Mexbrough in support of Ros Jones, Labour's canddiate for Mayor of Doncaster.

The day attracted 55 members and friends who, with MP Caroline Flint and local Labour councillors, blitzed Edlington, before a lunch hosted by Caroline Flint.

Said Caroline: "The campaign day was a tremendous success.  Community union has a long association with Edlington and their support matched by the enthusiasm of Labour Students who arrived in huge numbers, made for a great day."

Labour Students and CommunitySaid Don Valley Labour Chair, Rachel Hodson: "No party can match the enthusiasm of our campaign teams.  The team out today spoke to over 900 people in 6 hours."
