MP congratulates BARS for 15th Annual Sports Day

Said Caroline: “Congratulations to Sandy Young, Nigel Senior and all of those associated with BARS on another successful Sports Day and Gala.

“This event has become a regular annual fixture in the Doncaster calender and to see this ground with a new pavilion shows that all of the effort and fundraising has paid off.  This has been a real addition to community life in Bawtry and beyond.”

Bawtry Action for Recreational Sports (BARS) who are a non-profit making registered charity. BARS leases the Memorial Sports Ground from Bawtry Town Council and organises and funds the cost of grass cutting and other maintenance work and manages the site, which is used by local clubs and residents.  Bawtry Town Council provides an annual grant towards the upkeep of the ground.
