Don Valley MP Caroline Flint joined Yorkshire Wildlife Trust staff and apprentices to plant some new saplings and to tour the Manor Farm site, also known as Warren Park, that is now managed by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.
The MP planted two rowan trees and one hazel, assisted by the Trust’s Wildlife Assistant, Katie Baker, in a freshly prepared area that surrounds a newly created lake, close to Back Wood, one of two ancient woodlands on the site.
Local residents from the newly-built Warren Park estate in Bessacarr got in touch with me about the poor quality internet supplied to the new housing development.
Despite Warren Park being a new estate, it was not included in Openreach’s plans for super-fast broadband. As such, an internet cabinet (Cantley Cabinet 28) that uses copper cables was installed with copper cables leading to properties on the new estate.
