Caroline Flint met Unite the Union Reps in Parliament this week, to support their Brexit No Deal No Way meeting.
At a packed meeting in Parliament, several MPs met lay members of the union from across a range of manufacturing sectors, including those from major car companies Jaguar and Toyota.
Airport campaigner Caroline Flint has backed building a new runway at Heathrow because of the huge number of jobs, the economic boost and the new regional connectivity that will benefit Doncaster.
Caroline said: “I was delighted to join Unite the Union and Back Heathrow – the grassroots community campaign for expansion at Heathrow airport - to promote this important campaign. The new runway at Heathrow has been a long time coming. This project will create jobs, connections and opportunities for firms, not just in the South, but across the country – and Doncaster should be part of it.
Caroline Flint has praised Wavin UK for its investment in learning at its Edlington site.
The Don Valley MP was given a tour of the factory by Adrian Clifford, Engineering Manager, Jocelyn Walker, HR Partner, Andy Cullen, Unite Learning Organiser, and Richard Horsfield, Unite Learning Representative.
